Caring for Your Hair Weave

Beautyforever hair weaveTreat your weave hair as well as you would treat your own hair – it’s all yours because you bought it, right? You will need a coated bristle paddle brush and a seamless detangling comb to keep your Body wave weaving looking tight. DO detangle Body wave hair by conditioner washing it in the shower at least once or twice per week. While in the shower, coat your hair with Conditioner and comb through it with your big detangling comb. Rinse the conditioner out while brushing through it carefully from the ends working your way up to the tracks/roots with your paddle brush.Try to wet only the tracks and DON’T soak your hair down to the scalp during weekly maintenance. This will allow your hair to dry faster and avoid your cornrows from retaining too much water which can cause your hair to smell like mildew – gross! In the event you get your hair soaked, DO get your Human Hair weave completely dry by sitting under a hood dryer for at least an hour.

DON’T wear a dirty weave –DO gently shampoo your weave once or twice per month to remove product buildup, but DON’T vigorously shampoo your tracks or rub them together. When washing, gently smooth diluted shampoo from the weft down to the ends and rinse water through it using the same fluid motion. Try to avoid getting shampoo trapped under your net.DO use a micro-fiber towel to dry your hair – scrunch your hair gently to remove excess moisture. DON’T rub your hair with the terry cloth towel that you use dry your body. That will cause your hair to frizz.DO use a moisturizing leave-in conditioner to soften the weave hair before you style it.
