Secret Behind Victoria's Angle Body Waves

Sean James Decuers, who has a coveted chair at New York's Pierre Michel Salon, has been a stylist for more than 20 years. But, we're guessing there's one question he gets asked the most: I'm no Gisele, but can you help me get those Victoria's Secret body wave? We definitely asked that, when Sean—who's worked behind the scenes at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show three times— stopped by Bravo HQ to, um, make Peruvian body wave virgin hair.

Sean broke down just how to create the beachy, fit-for-an angel 'do. And, it turns out that size—as in, size of hair sections—is key here. "The smaller the section the more curl," he said. "The bigger the section, the more body."

The sexy-hair guru also gave us some details on the making of the iconic style. "Orlando [Pita] doesn't really like spiral waves. He's the lead hairdresser," Sean told The Lookbook. "When I worked with him in 2011, 2012, and 2013, he wanted anything but the spiral wave. The spiral waves don't give much body." So, the signature VS Beautyforever hair waves have a loose, tousled appeal. Think of the most glamorous bedhead you've ever seen.
Since there's a ton of wind in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, the stylists are careful not to use too much product. "When you set the hair, you want to set a little structure," Sean said. Hi beauties! So I decided to place my very first order on Beautyforever hair mall a few months ago. I ordered four bundles (24″x4) and a lace closure (18″) of virgin Peruvian body wave hair from a vendor called Found Beauty Hair. The shipping from China was super-fast and it only took 2-3 days for the package to come to Sweden.

Once I received the hair I washed the hair with conditioner before sewing the hair onto a wig-cap. The texture of the hair is “body wave” which means that the hair should be slightly wavy, but after the first wash the body waves were gone and the hair was bone straight. While washing the hair I also noticed a nasty chemical smell, which goes to say that the hair was probably processed. Nevertheless the bundles were quite thick and I ended up only using three peruvian body wave bundles with the body wave lace closure.

As far as shedding goes, this hair sheds a tone and the hair tangles like crazy😦. As you may understand, I’m not very pleased with the quality of the hair and my first experience with Ali Express wasn’t the best!  I would definitely not recommend this vendor. Please share if you have any experience with any hair vendors from Beautyforever hair mall.
